Ultraviolette, a major player in Electric Vehicle Platforms and Battery Technology, recently unveiled the ‘2030 Concept Electric Superbike’ in collaboration with students from Mantra Academy. This project aimed to nurture design talent for the global mobility industry through partnership with the academy.

Based in Bengaluru, Ultraviolette is dedicated to revolutionizing automotive design in India by partnering with leading design institutes like Mantra Academy. The goal of this collaboration is to cultivate top-tier design talent in India, positioning the country as a significant player in the global automotive design landscape.

During the unveiling event at the Ultraviolette Hangar in Bengaluru, students showcased a superbike concept and a full-scale clay model of the ‘Concept Electric Superbike – 2030’. This initiative offered automotive design students a practical platform to apply their knowledge and gain industry-focused experience.

Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder and CEO of Ultraviolette, emphasized the importance of design in Ultraviolette’s vision.  He also reiterated the company’s commitment to nurturing future automotive designers. The collaboration with Mantra Academy aims to bridge the gap between academia and the automotive industry through a project-driven curriculum guided by Ultraviolette design experts.

The partnership also includes mentorship programs where Ultraviolette designers guide students to unleash their creativity and contribute innovative ideas to automotive design. Mr. JK Maravan, Co-founder of Mantra Academy, highlighted the positive impact of the collaboration on automotive design education in India, emphasizing the significance of industry-focused knowledge and mentorship.

The ‘Apex-21’ concept electric motorcycle, envisioned by Mantra Academy students for 2030, blends elements of Aviation and Racing, aligning with Ultraviolette’s core values. The bike showcases cutting-edge aesthetics, aerodynamic design, and advanced technologies like magnetic suspension systems and adaptive suspension for exceptional handling.

As part of the program, students received hands-on training in the latest tools and technologies for designing high-performance electric two-wheelers. Ultraviolette also offered apprenticeship opportunities and potential post-program employment for Mantra Academy students, enhancing their industry readiness.
