Bangalore, April 9, 2024 —  Ultraviolette Automotive, a prominent player in Electric Vehicle Platforms and Battery Technology, has introduced a warranty extension program for its flagship product, the F77. This warranty provides coverage of up to 800,000 kilometers, a first in the global EV industry, showcasing Ultraviolette’s expertise in battery engineering and its commitment to electric mobility.

  • Ultraviolette doubles the km limit on UV Care and UV Care+ warranty packs while UV Care Max now provides an incredible eight times more km coverage.
  • Existing F77 owners to benefit from the update with their existing battery and drivetrain warranty programs.
  • This unprecedented warranty update has been announced on the back of Ultraviolette F77 test motorcycles having successfully covered 100,000 kilometres, retaining over 95 percent of the original rated capacity.
  • Post clocking 100,000km, F77 still retains an IDC range of 304km as per ARAI test cycle.

The warranty program comprises three packages – UV Care, UV Care+, and UV Care Max, each offering extended kilometer limits. The new structure doubles the kilometer coverage for UV Care and UV Care+ and increases the limit for UV Care Max by eight times.

Ultraviolette’s achievement is supported by a recent test where an F77 motorcycle traveled 100,000 kilometers while retaining over 95 percent of its original rated capacity. Additionally, the motorcycle demonstrated an impressive IDC range of 304 kilometers on a single charge during testing at ARAI, resulting in significant fuel savings.

This warranty program reflects Ultraviolette’s dedication to ensuring the longevity and reliability of its vehicles, setting a new standard of assurance in the electric vehicle industry.

The company’s CTO & Co-Founder, Niraj Rajmohan, emphasized that the extended warranty underscores Ultraviolette’s commitment to revolutionizing electric mobility through rigorous battery engineering and validation processes. Similarly, CEO & Co-Founder, Narayan Subramaniam, highlighted the company’s history of innovation and the new warranty program’s potential to redefine EV ownership and experience.
