New Delhi: Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, recorded a total sales figure of 97,435 units in February 2024, reflecting a notable 38% surge compared to the 70,621 units sold in February 2023.
The domestic sales volume for February 2024 witnessed a substantial 59% rise, reaching 83,304 units from 52,451 units sold during the same period the previous year.
Conversely, SMIPL’s exports experienced a decline of 22%, with 14,131 units exported in February 2024 compared to 18,170 units in February 2023.
Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the company’s milestone achievement of producing one million units in February 2024, achieving maximum plant production capacity utilization within a year. Handa acknowledged the consistent growth trajectory over eleven consecutive months, attributing it to favorable buyer sentiment, support from business partners, and the dedication of the team.
Emphasizing their commitment to customer satisfaction, Handa expressed the company’s intent to maintain this growth momentum in the forthcoming period.
During the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 earlier this month, Suzuki Motorcycle India showcased its diverse range of motorcycles, including the V-STROM 800DE and GSX-8R models, along with the environmentally friendly Flex Fuel motorcycle – Gixxer 250 SF.
