Maruti Suzuki achieves rise in production; reaches 178,261 units in Feb 24

Maruti Suzuki India disclosed its sales and production data for February 2024, showing a year-on-year growth of 9 percent in sales and 12 per cent in production volume. 

The total production volume for February 2024 was 178,261 units, up from 159,873 units in February 2023. Maruti Suzuki production increase in on an YoY basis. 

The passenger vehicle segment witnessed a 12percent production increase to 174,543 units in February 2024 compared to 156,438 units in February 2023. This category includes passenger cars, utility vehicles like Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, XL6, OEM Model, and vans like Eeco.

The mini and compact sub-segment combined produced 102,988 units in February 2024, down from 117,572 units in February 2023.

The mid-size segment with Ciaz recorded a substantial growth of 87 percent, reaching 1,465 units in February 2024 compared to 785 units in the same month last year.

Maruti achieved a total of 168,544 units in domestic sales (PV+LCV+OEM) for February 2024, up from 155,114 units in February 2023, representing a 9 percent increase.
