Yamaha to Provide Powertrains for Formula E Cars with Lola Cars

New Delhi: Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Lola Cars Ltd have recently entered a technical partnership agreement to develop and supply high-performance electric powertrains for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, a leading racing series for all-electric single-seater vehicles.

 

Yamaha Motor aims to enhance its expertise and capabilities in electric technologies through its involvement in Formula E. Meanwhile, Lola is focused on developing a vehicle package for Formula E racing teams, with plans to comply with Formula E homologation standards and acquire electric racing technology.

 

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Yamaha has set a companywide environmental goal to achieve carbon neutrality in Scope 3 emissions by 2050. The company will continue to prioritize research and development of technologies that contribute to sustainability.

 

Lola Cars Ltd, a well-established British racing car development company, has a history of producing vehicles for international automobile races and is now dedicated to sustainable motorsports.
